Alumni weekend schedule of events

The CHS/GMUHS Alumni Association has been hard at work preparing for the 2012 alumni weekend. Below is the list of events from the association.  But for much more information, go to the association’s website.

Friday, June 8th

Noon:  Golf Tournament at Tater Hill Country Club.  Sign up for the tournament with the registration form or email Greg Harrington.
Evening get-together at Chester American Legion

Saturday, June 9th

  1. 7-9 a.m. Chester Rotary Club Pancake Breakfast at Chester Andover Elementary School
  2. 10 a.m. Parade Lineup on Elm Street
  3. 11 a.m. Alumni Parade from Chester Depot to Cobleigh Field

Right after the parade, there will be the following activities:

  • historical walk around Chester by the Historical Society
  • horseshoe tournament at the Chester American Legion
  • softball tournament at Cobleigh Field
  • a tour of Green Mountain Union High School

5 p.m. Cocktail Hour (appetizers & cash bar) at Chester American Legion

6 p.m. Alumni Banquet at Chester American Legion.  Please register in advance since seating is limited to 200. Business Meeting to be held during the meal. Also, a 50/50 raffle will be drawn.

PARADE 2012 SATURDAY, JUNE 9th

“Super Heros” will be the theme for this year’s Alumni Day Parade.
Register your float with the online form or contact Karl Lauren 802-380-4439 or Jon Clark 802-353-6043
The parade steps off promptly at 11 a.m. from The Depot, proceeding to The Green and ending at Cobleigh Field. Make sure to contact your classmates and get your float to Elm Street by 10 a.m. for the line-up. To receive prizes, class/float representative must be present at Cobleigh Field.
Float Prizes
1st Place: $400
2nd Place: $300
3rd Place: $200
Best non-alumni: $50


Float Rules

No alcohol on floats
Candy may be handed to children, but please do not throw it
No water guns, balloons, etc.
All floats must have a fire extinguisher

Decorated Bike Prizes
1st Place: $25
2nd Place: $15
3rd Place: $10
