Candidates in contested Chester Select Board race address pressing issues

The Telegraph asked the two candidates for the open three-year term on the Chester Select Board to respond to a set of questions that address their vision for the town. The other two candidates — incumbents Tom Bock and Arne Jonynas — are unopposed in seeking re-election to one-year terms.

The three-year candidates — incumbent Derek Suursoo and challenger Heather Chase — were handed the same list of questions last Wednesday at the Select Board meeting and asked to return their answers by email in time for publication.

The election will be held by Australian ballot from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 3 at Chester Town Hall, 556 Elm St.
