River Valley Tech begins fall open enrollment

River Valley Technical Center is gearing up for the fall with open enrollment available throughout the summer.  There are limited spots available for high school students in Mechanical Design and Innovation, Carpentry, Industrial Trades, Culinary Arts, Horticulture and Natural Resources, Information Technology and Audio Video Production.

Other programs such as Business and Financial Management, Human Services, Health Careers and Criminal Justice are currently full, but students may be put on a waiting list as things may shift over the summer.  There are also seats available in the Pre-Technical Studies program for incoming 9th and 10th grade students looking to explore careers in all areas of technical education. Students and parents can apply on-line on the website at www.rvtc.org.

In 2014, 57 percent of the RVTC graduates went on to study in college and/or technical training.

Students from Bellows Falls Union High School, Black River High School, Green Mountain Union High School, Fall Mountain Regional High School, Springfield High School and home school or private school students are eligible to apply. The River Valley Technical Center guidance office is open throughout the summer to help answer questions students and parents may have about attending the technical center.  Call 802-885-8305 to tour River Valley Technical Center.
