Vermont State Police are keeping “every avenue open” as the search continues for Lynn Perry, the 56-year-old Andover woman who is suffering from early onset Alzheimer’s disease and went missing on Tuesday, July 28.

Perry was the subject of an extensive four-day search involving more than 200 people, including Upper Valley Search and Rescue, Chester Police and Fire and Londonerry Fire.

Then, on Wednesday, Aug. 5, the VSP used cadaver dogs and continued its road patrols. “We’re rechecking her background, looking at her history and talking with the last people who saw her,” said State Police Capt. Ray Keefe.

While Keefe said that everything is being looked at, there is no solid information to suggest foul play. “If we had anything like that, we would have jumped all over it,” said Keefe.

Keefe told the Telegraph on Tuesday, Aug. 11, that police will be meeting Friday with search and rescue specialists, including State Search and Rescue coordinator Neil Van Dyke, to prepare to conduct a recovery search within a week.

“I’ve seen cases like this before,” said Keefe. “People have been found in areas that were previously searched.”
