480 bags of heroin found in traffic stop in Peru

A traffic stop in Peru yesterday lead to four arrests for felony drug trafficking.

According to a Vermont State Police press release, a car was stopped on Route 11 in Peru for having an expired inspection sticker.
Troopers smelled marijuana smoke while speaking with the driver and got consent to search the vehicle. The search yielded 480 bags of heroin, 50.01 grams of crack, 15.43 grams of cocaine, 14 grams of an unknown substance sent for testing, 10 milligrams of marijuana, $833 in U.S. currency and $1,500 in Jamaican currency. The value of $1,500 Jamaican dollars is approximately $12.81 U.S.
A 30-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman from Londonderry were arrested. Also arrested were a 34-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman from Hartford, Conn.
According to police, the Londonderry man was on supervised release in Vermont, while the Connecticut man was on probation in that state. Troopers suspect that the drugs were being transported from Connecticut to Vermont.
Both men are being held on $75,000 bail while the Londonderry woman was held on $2,000 bail and the Hartford woman’s bail was set at $50,000. They will be arraigned in Bennington today, Aug. 18.

A quick internet search reveals the names of those arrested, and articles linking to one of them having been arrested 5 weeks earlier.
The VSP have their mug shots if you care to see these pillars of the community. Much of these drugs was headed to Londonderry VT. It is well known who has ben dealing drugs in that village for some time. That is why you have the crime in that village. The dealers sell local and a big dealer sells to the ski crowd .
The Logic of the Chester Telegraph makes no sense whatsoever, as by its Standard, no one should publish the name of Hillary either, since no verdict has been reached on her Benghazi Video Tape Excuse, let alone all her other lies!!

It would appear that supervised release is not effective. Kudos to the VSP on this stop. Now it’s time for the courts to pursue these offenders more aggressively.
