Immediately following the meeting, there will be the presentation of the first-ever SAPA TV People’s Choice Awards. Awards will be given out to local producers and volunteers for productions created in the 2014/2015 viewing season. This year, the station is asking community members for their input on what their favorite SAPA TV produced shows were. Community members can view and vote on this year’s categories and nominees at www.sapatv.org. Voting is open until 9 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 12.

The functions are open to everyone. Voting for board members is limited to residents of SAPA TV’s service area, the towns of Springfield, Chester and Weathersfield. Residents of these towns do not have to be cable subscribers to vote.
