Ernie Foster was born in Weston and has lived his entire life on Piper Hill Road. He attended Chester High School, then went on to work for Frank Whitcomb Paving Co., from which he retired about 15 years ago.

He also worked for a short time with Wilk Paving.

Rani Foster grew up in Londonderry and Springfield and attended Springfield High School. For years, she worked for George and Sally Gardiner in Weston, and is now employed at the Vermont Country Store, where she has worked for at least 20 years.

For many years, Rani Foster and her sister Connie had a side business of making wedding cakes for  friends and family. Many will recall spending Friday and Saturday nights square dancing and playing cards with the Fosters.

The family thanks all who participate in this “Card Party.”
