Larry Roland Moses was a lifelong farrier.

Larry Roland Moses of Chester passed away at Springfield Hospital on April 13, 2016 with his family by his side. Mr. Moses was born on July 10, 1951, the son of Janis Putnam Moses and Roland Moses.

The long-time resident of Chester spent his life as a farrier, actively shoeing horses. Mr. Moses — known to everyone as Larry — also loved hunting, fishing and gardening: He was especially proud of his potatoes!  He shared his love of the outdoors with everyone.

Mr. Moses  is survived by Judith, his wife of 33 years, and his four sons, Carlton, Shawn, Matthew and Heath; his sister Patricia Phelps and her two children; a cousin, Steve Hunsdon, who was like a brother to him; and by four grandchildren.

Mr. Moses was predeceased by his mother, father and his grandson Tayler Moses.

There will be a graveside service at the Branchview Cemetery in South Royalton, Vt., at 2 p.m. Monday April 18.
