Dennis Waring creates music from trash

On Friday May 20 at 7:30 p.m., Dennis Waring brings interesting sights, sounds, and stories about instruments, offering audiences new insight into folklore, music, craft, science and worldview with Trash To Tunes.

Join him at the Stone Church Arts, 12 Church St. in Bellows Falls for a performance using handmade and homemade musical instruments inspired by instruments around the world.

May 21: BMS Annual Spring Showcase

Brattleboro Music School holds its Spring Showcase 10 a.m.– 3 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at the Gibson River Garden, 157 Main St., Brattleboro. The showcase features student performances combined with a bake sale, plant sale, 50/50 raffle, and CD/DVD sale.
