To the editor: Bock a studious, serious candidate

Letters to the editor logo 3I have known Tom Bock for many years.  I would like to tell you about the man who is running for the VT House of Representatives as a Democrat.
As elected Town Clerk and Treasurer for the Town of Chester for 22 years, I had many visits from Tom.  When topics or issues would be brought up at selectmen’s meeting and Tom was not familiar or knowledgeable about them, he would pay a visit to our office, asked questions and do research until he felt comfortable in offering his vote or answer at the next meeting.  If I had a question or concern, I was very comfortable in approaching him, knowing her would not judge me.
I always felt that Tom had the best interest of the Town of Chester in every decision he made.  As a selectman, his duties extended beyond the bi-weekly meetings of the board.  He served on many other committees that had an impact on his town.
I would like to encourage the voters of Windsor District 3-a to cast a vote for a serious representative of our towns who will be honest and has the experience to make intelligent decisions for our future and that of our children and grandchildren.
Thank you for this opportunity.
