handbellsDec. 10: Saxtons River Handbell Choir performs in Chester

Rounding out the annual Overture to Christmas events in Chester will be the Saxtons River Handbell Choir, which will perform at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10 at the First Baptist Church, 162 Main St. in Chester. There is no cost of admission to the concert.

Dec. 13: BMC Music School presents student orchestras concert

bmc_banner_600px_72dpi-for-webThe Brattleboro Music Center’s Music School presents its student orchestras in concert at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13 at the River Garden, the Strolling of the Heifers building on 157 Main St. in Brattleboro.

Admission is free; donations are welcome in support of the Music School scholarship fund.

This mix of music and musicians includes students at all levels, including the Tigers beginning ensemble class; Music in the Schools first- and second-year ensembles; the Youth String Ensemble; and the Senior Orchestra, conducted by Moby Pearson.
