Dec. 16: Slapstick Science presents Flight

In celebration of the Wright Brothers’ first flight in December 1903, certified science teacher and former Ringling Brothers performer Ted Lawrence will demonstrate the  theory of flight at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16 at Claremont Opera House at 58 Opera House Square in Claremont, N.H.

Lawrence uses audience participation and classic demonstrations to teach. The performance is appropriate for children in grades K–8 and family audiences.

Dec. 19: Chester Seniors Citizens Club holds luncheon

Join the Chester Senior Citizens Club for its monthly luncheon meeting at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 19 at the Chester Congregational Church on 469 Main St. Bring a wrapped gift item from your home or a $5 or less new item for a Yankee Swap. Bring your place setting, if possible a dish to share, and a friend. If you need a ride, call Georgia 802-875-6242.
