Police have arrested a Poultney man in the shooting death of David Daniel Hein early this morning but continue to look for a witness.

In a press release this evening police say that investigators have learned that four men, including the victim were in a vehicle parked in a driveway on Roberts Avenue in Poultney. Police say that William Bailey, 19, of Poultney, was among the occupants and “was responsible for shooting” Hein with a semi automatic handgun.

Bailey was arrested, charged with manslaughter and held without bail. The other two men in the vehicle left the scene before police arrived. One of the men, Dylan Czarnecki, 21, of Poultney, was located and interviewed. Czarnecki was taken into custody and held on probation violations. Another man, Jonathan Testa, 21, of Poultney is being sought as a witness in this case.
