May 14: ‘Into the Woods’ featured at FOLA

Cinderella's step-mother and sisters have fun at her expense in "Into the Woods"

Cinderella’s stepmother and sisters have fun at her expense in ‘Into the Woods.’

Friends of Ludlow Auditorium’s next movie feature is Into the Woods.  The film begins at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 14 in the Ludlow Town Hall Auditorium 37 S. Depot St. in Ludlow.

PG-rated, Into the Woods is a 2014 American musical fantasy film based on Lapine and Stephen Sondheim’s Tony Award-winning Broadway musical of the same name.

Inspired by traditional fairy tales, the film is a fantasy genre crossover centered on a childless couple that set out to end a curse placed on them by a vengeful witch. Ultimately, the characters are forced to rectify the consequences of their actions.

The film is free; donations are appreciated. Berkshire Bank supplies popcorn for the film while FOLA offers water. For additional information, call 802-228-7239 or visit FOLA’s web site at www.fola.us.
