Oct. 29: BMC Chamber Music Series opens with pianist Vonsattel

The Brattleboro Music Center’s Chamber Music Series opens for the 2016–17 season with a performance by pianist Gilles Vonsattel.

The concert is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 29, at 7:30 p.m. at the Centre Congregational Church, 193 Main St., Brattleboro.

Individual tickets are available with preferred seating for $30, which is guaranteed with advance purchase. General seating tickets are $20, with general seating discounts available based on need.

Oct. 30: Mystery Cafe Quartet performs in Proctorsville

Attend the first concert of Raise the Roof’s musical season on Sunday, Oct. 30 to hear Mystery Cafe Quartet.

The performance begins at 4 p.m. at the Gethsemane Church on Depot Street in Proctorsville next to Crows Café.

The group performs music from the British Isles, France and Canada. Accordion master Jeremiah McLane, fiddler Sarah Blair, guitar and banjoist Owen Marshall and piper and whistler Tim Cummings make up the quartet.
