Weather-related Schedule Changes to Chester Winter Carnival

The 2012 Chester Winter Carnival promises even more family fun with a bevy of indoor  and outdoor activities, including an opening night dinner dance, and a scavenger hunt. But due to the dry weather, several events have been canceled, while the bulk of activities can still take place, Julie Pollard, who  has been instrumental to the carnival’s success, said Thursday, Feb. 16.

She said the Braeburn Siberians won’t be holding their popular dog sled rides because of lack of snow. However, Pollard added that they have already committed to attend next year’s Chester Winter Carnival.

Pollard also said that Broom Hockey will still take place on Sunday, and currently has 10 teams signed up. And, she said that the good weather should draw out more participants for the Scavenger Hunt and that $100 prize. Below is the list of events. Please note the four that have been canceled.
