Hike to Glastenbury Wetland

Meet up with the Green Mountain Club Manchester section at the trailhead on FR 71 which is approximately 7.5 miles south of the intersection of National Forest Road 71 and the Arlington-Stratton Road about 100 yards west of the Stratton Pond Trail parking area. At the trailhead pullover there is a post with a small “Horses Allowed” sign.

This hike starts on FR 71 and ends at a wetland that has a lot of wildlife activity. Although only 4.2 miles round trip and 500’ of elevation gain, it crosses two small rivers: West Branch of the Deerfield and the Glastenbury. Bring a lunch and water shoes for the crossings.
