The Scale of Our Universe

July 10, 2018 @ 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm
The Whiting Library
117 Main St
Chester, VT 05143

Southern Vermont Astronomy Group  hosts a presentation on the scale of our universe. Imagining distances to celestial objects is always a little daunting. Most of us just surrender to some abstract image of “out there, somewhere too far to think about…”

But there are ways to model the universe in one’s mind that can be easier and engaging. A presentation on the scale of the universe using some of the Hubble telescope’s more beautiful images will be given by SoVera.

Additional discussion will follow about what may have come before the universe started and why we think we’re close to learning more about that singular event. Please note that the Whiting Library is ADA accessible all are welcome.
