The Nature Museum and Whiting Library announce that the Nature Museum’s Summer Unplugged series will be back for another year of programs. Join them Wednesdays at 1p.m. in the library for a different topic every week.

Do fish lay eggs? Can a fish live both in the ocean and in a river? What’s a macroinvertebrate? There’s more in our rivers, streams, and ponds than just fish! Join us to learn about the Connecticut River and its tributaries that are home to fish, amphibians, insects, otters, and many non-swimming creatures too! Explore pictures, hands-on biofacts, listen to a story, and get creative with a fun craft to learn more about many native water-loving creatures!

The family programs are recommended for children ages 4 and up and include time for making a relevant and fun craft.
