Wild Walkers Winter Camp

February 20, 2020 @ 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
Nature Museum
186 Townshend Rd
Grafton, VT 05146

Campers (ages 10 to 14 years) will spend the day exploring the outdoors in the beautiful Vermont landscape right outside the museum’s front door. Our day will be filled with snowshoeing, trailblazing, fire making, animal tracking, and more! We’ll head out on snowshoes to search for wildlife sign and learn tree ID in the Grafton Town Forest. After learning the basics of fire making and fire safety, campers will have the chance to test their skills by creating their own fire. We’ll even learn a bit of camp cooking, as long as the day permits. Nature Museum educators will guide campers in a safe, fun, and respectful experience. Whether your Wild Walker is just getting interested in the outdoors or is an experienced outdoors person, the day holds unique opportunities for all!
