Winhall Library celebrates ‘Great American Read’

Winhall Memorial Library invites the public to watch “The Great American Read,” an eight-part series airing on PBS, beginning on Tuesday, May 22 that explores and celebrates the power of reading, told through the prism of America’s 100 best-loved novels as chosen in a national survey. It investigates how and why writers create their fictional worlds and what they have to say about their diverse nation and their shared human experience. Afterward, check out the library’s “The Great American Read” display. Sixty-eight of the 100 titles on the list are in their collection.
