Weston Playhouse hires interim managing director, capital campaign chief
Press release | Nov 11, 2013 | Comments 1
Two new staff members have joined the Weston Playhouse Theatre Company. The playhouse had hired Arts Consulting Group Inc. of New York City to provide transition management services while it undertakes a national search for a new managing director. That position was left vacant with the departure of Stuart Duke after 17 years with the company. ACG senior consultant Lesley Koenig will take on the role on interim managing director.
Koenig began as a stage manager and director of opera before undertaking a career as general manager of the San Francisco Ballet, director of production at the Met and general director of Opera Boston. A lecturer on non-profit management, she holds dual masters degrees from Stanford and a B.A. from Harvard.
Amy Bannon, former executive director of the Vermont-based non-profit Volunteers for Peace, joins the playhouse as capital campaign administrator.
Bannon has a 20-year career in the fields of non-profit and project management and journalism and communication. She holds a law certificate from Pace University and a B.A. from Western Connecticut State University. She lives in Weston with her husband and sons.

I am very glad at this news. The last years plays where at best OK. Along with a horrific Cabaret show. It was high time for a change in management.
