Dec. 15: Winter Concert at GMUHS
Celebrate the holiday season at the Winter Concert on Thursday, Dec. 15 in the Green Mountain Union High School’s auditorium, 716 Vermont Route 103 in Chester.The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. with the middle school band and chorus, followed at 7 p.m. by the high school band, small ensemble and chorus.

Dec. 16: Christmas music at Grounded4Life
Enjoy a special set of Christmas music performed by Spark, the Chester area youth group.The doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the free performance begins at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16 at Grounded4Life coffeehouse in the lower level of the Chester Baptist Church at 162 Main St. in Chester.
The evening will be full of traditional and meaningful Christmas music, as well as short performance and slideshow.

Dec. 16: Walpole Players present Christmas on the Air
The Walpole players present Christmas on the Air, a step back in time featuring highlights from the golden age of radio, radio plays, skits, carols, and gags at 7 p.m. Friday Dec. 16 at Walpole Town Hall, Helen Miller Theater, 34 Elm St., Walpole.
In the old time golden radio skits, the Bickersons will be back celebrating Christmas Eve, Art Linkletter may be making an appearance with his kids, and Fibber McGee will bring home his Christmas tree. Songs of the season and other merriment will also be included.
Doors open at 6 p.m., and the audience is seated at tables of eight. Bring dinner, snacks, beverages of choice, and friends and take a break from the stress of the holidays.
Tickets are $10 each with proceeds benefit Our Place Drop in Center and the Fall Mountain Food Shelf. Tickets and reservations are available at Galloway Real Estate at 47 Main St. and Joanie Joan’s Bakery, 14 Westminster St. in Walpole. For additional information, call Ray Boas at 603-756-4545.
Dec. 16: Annual Ludlow Christmas Celebration
The 7th annual Community Christmas Celebration, sponsored by Friends of Ludlow Auditorium, will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16 at the Ludlow Town Hall Auditorium, 37 S. Depot St. in Ludlow. The event brings area residents and students together to celebrate.The performance features music provided by area school students along with contributions from residents. This year, Ludlow Elementary School students offer music with a holiday mood along with the choral and band music from Black River Middle/High School students.
There is also a performance O’Henry’s famous The Gift of the Magi, additional Christmas music and a humorous reading. The event is free and open to everyone. For information, call 802-228-7239.
Dec. 18: Celebration of Advent and Carols
Join St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in a Celebration of Advent and Carols, at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 18 at 313 Main St. in Chester as they await Christ’s coming on Christmas through song and scripture.
