New French and Italian classes at Misty Valley Books

Misty Valley Books will be offering new French and Italian courses that will run for six weeks.

Professor Luci Fortunato will teach two courses of Italian language classes at Misty Valley Books.
Intermediate French classes will begin on Monday March 3, with beginning French on Tuesdays, starting March 4. Beginning Italian will begin on Wednesday, March 5 , with the more advanced Italian class meeting starting on Thursday, March 6. All classes will run from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
The courses are open to students of high school age and adults and will meet in the bookstore.
Instructor for the French courses is Bill Reed, co-proprietor with his wife, Lynne, of Misty Valley Books, on the Chester Green next to the Fullerton Inn.
Instructor for both Italian classes is Luci Fortunato, retired professor of history at Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts. After graduate study at Middlebury College and an M.A. in the Humanities at Bridgewater State College, she earned her PhD in history from Boston College and conducted research in Florentine archives for her dissertation. She has taught Italian and history at the secondary and university levels.
The fee for each courses is $100 and includes materials. Workbooks and dictionaries will be available for sale.
