To the editor: The team to vote for on Nov. 8

You build and vote for a team.   In this election, the strong team to vote for in the race for Vermont’s Windsor County Senate is Alison Clarkson, Dick McCormack and Rebecca White.

In lots of aspects of life, business, problem solving and sports, you build a team. In politics it’s no different. You look to place a person at the table where the most crucial decisions are being made. You look for sage advice from the person or persons with the most experience.

And you look for vitality and freshness of approach.   With Alison Clarkson as Vermont  Senate Majority Leader, you have a seasoned leader who presides over the creation of the Senate’s calendar and when and if the various legislative initiatives will be brought before the Senate body for debate and action.

With Dick McCormack you have a seasoned Senate legislator who brings his years of knowledge to each session. When McCormack rises in the Senate chamber to speak the rest of the legislators turn and listen. His sage advice on almost every issue being brought before the body is crucial to a bipartisan and instructive debate.

And with the candidacy of Becca White, you have a proven House Chamber legislator moving over to the Senate to bring her fresh thoughts and approach to our states problems that affect us all, such as climate, housing, updates to Act 250 and health care.

I truly believe if elected this will be the most talented and balanced team of Vermont Senate legislators of any County in the State of Vermont.   I urge you the citizens and voters of Windsor County from Ludlow to Hartford, and from Royalton to Springfield to vote and send the team of Clarkson, McCormack and White to Montpelier on Nov. 8.

I met Eva Ryan and her opponent at a Forum in Windham . Eva has her priorities straight. I have been at forums all around the state for months. Very few candidates speak on true issues facing Vermonters and Americans today.

Alice Flanders is one of the few with courage enough to tell people the truth. The lady has true courage. Vermonters need to wake pp to the facts that only a small handful of legislators care even one whit about real issues that face America Today . it is 99% Virtue signaling . Democrats always Vote Party Lines . Rhino Republicans are a Curse on the Vermont GOP and America.

Every Republican needs to be vetted to decided if they are good for oneself. Independents as well also need to be examined. Be certain the Democrats will take us on the fastest road to hell they can find in lockstep. It is sad that it may rake Vermont an extra couple years to wake up. Buckle your belts fellow Vermonters we are in for a ride and not a very pleasurable one at that.

Editor’s note: Mark Coester is running as an independent for the U.S. Senate and for the Vermont Senate. He lives in Westminster and was condemned for joining the Colchester 4th of July parade with fascist and authoritarian symbols on his truck. https://vtdigger.org/2022/07/12/candidate-draws-condemnation-for-displaying-controversial-symbols-at-colchester-fourth-of-july-celebration/

So you prefer experience over competence and caring about others which is your choice. Me personally I will vote for competence and caring about others every time. A competent legislator will weigh the rewards vs. consequences which these people don’t do. Specifically, the Global Warming Solutions Act which will hurt businesses and individuals financially while attempting to drop VT’s carbon footprint from .1% to about .05%. That is not good leadership in any way.
Vermont is top 5 in cost of living to wages and taxes per capita while still receiving about 40% of our budget from the federal government. So why aren’t these 3 talking about it let alone trying to fix these problems? I know the answer, either you don’t or just don’t care.
