To the editor: Hoser would represent all of Windsor-Windham
The Chester Telegraph | Oct 26, 2026 | Comments 1
Will Hoser is a father who raised his children here, a businessman whose businesses were successful here, raised on a dairy farm and now a bit of a farmer himself, a friend to many, and a physician assistant to us all.
As head of Springfield’s and Ascutney’s ERs for decades, one would be hard pressed to find a family who has not been favorably affected by Will.
Will cares about our children’s education, our land and resources, our ability to cover our expenses, and our collective health.
And then there is Tom Charlton. Mr. Charlton is against Proposition 3. Mr. Charlton doesn’t think our school teachers and town employees deserve protections and a voice. He voted against reducing the levels of chloride in our water and other actions harmful to our health and environment. Mr. Charlton voted against increased transparency in hospital pricing, and he voted to make guns even easier to get than they already are.
Borrowing a phrase from Susan Collins, Mr. Charlton said he is “deeply concerned” about ICE activity but thinks the good people standing against the lawless and unconstitutional rampage across our cities and towns should not be using “inflammatory rhetoric.” Mr. Charlton not only voted against HR 12, which supported the governor’s statement opposing ICE’s actions, but felt compelled to make a both-sides comment on the record because people weren’t using nice words to protest the horrors ICE wrought upon the people. At the recent town forum, Mr. Charlton spoke of immigrants with empathy. It would seem that his empathy comes out only when he feels his voting record is about to sink his re-election bid.
To listen to Tom Charlton lecture about civility is rich, considering the Democratic members in Chester are not the ones attempting to run down protesters, spreading false stories about the protests, or sharing crude memes on social media. Unlike local Republicans, Democratic members are not using the other party’s campaign signs for target practice, and they certainly aren’t spreading false information about Proposition 3.
Charlton doesn’t care about our children, our land and resources, our ability to cover our daily expenses, or our collective health. He is not driving us toward a better quality of life. The safety of our communities, of our neighbors, takes a back seat to “rhetoric” for Mr. Charlton.
I say we put Mr. Charlton in the back seat. Better yet, let’s put him in the rear view mirror. Elect Will Hoser as representative for Windsor-Windham in Montpelier.

If you are relying on the Progressive perspective for your information in this election – first – you’ve already voted and second you have been following their line of made up “facts” about everyone that does not get on board and agree with the narrative they are pushing.
Read the op Ed’s. Read the questions and answers in this paper. Look who is spreading hate and twisted truths. They are coming from the individuals that have hijacked the Democratic Party here in Chester and are focused on spewing hate because they can. They are consumed with National Politics – not looking at what will really help the people of Chester and the people of Vermont!
I posted the Chester forum on local sites from SAPA so you can watch and listen and be an informed voter. ( listen to who is unhinged!)
Go to both candidates websites – read and listen to their actual positions and their actual words in their entirety and see who you really align with and go vote!
