To the editor: Brickner an invaluable resource for Windsor

From the moment Ben Brickner moved to Pomfret to raise his young family, he has been someone who could be relied upon to show up, get involved and make a difference in his local community.

Over the past eight years, Ben has served in multiple roles in local government. Even if you’ve never met Ben, you’ve probably crossed paths with him pitching in at countless local events, volunteering on school and town committees, or simply as a warm and friendly presence out and about around Windsor County.

Ben has been an invaluable resource to myself and countless other local families while trying to keep up with the confusing and ever-shifting education reform legislation being debated over the past several years. He helped us interpret complicated legislative jargon and explained it in language we could all understand, which allowed us to confidently advocate for the issues that were important to us.

Ben understands that none of this work can be done alone. He knows that every Vermonter’s voice needs to be heard to craft legislation that works for those of us who live and work here year round, and who hope that our children can someday raise their own families in a thriving Vermont.

Please join me in voting for Ben Brickner for the state Senate for Windsor in the Democratic primary on Tuesday, Aug. 11.
