Springfield Rotary Club Penny Sale Oct. 17
Press release | Oct 05, 2026 | Comments 0

More than 300 prizes—donated by local businesses and individuals—will be up for grabs, with each chance costing just a penny. The event features three prize series—red, white, and blue—with each series offering at least 100 prizes. A $1 series ticket provides 100 chances to win, and many attendees purchase multiple tickets to increase their odds.
Rotary members are in the community collecting prizes and selling tickets for the Grand Prize drawing of $5,000 in cash. Each $2 Grand Prize ticket also includes entry into a $500 Door Prize drawing, which requires the winner to be present. Grand Prize tickets can be purchased from any Springfield Rotarian in advance or at the event; $2 each or 3 for $5.
The Penny Sale is the Rotary Club’s largest annual fundraiser, generating funds the club invests back into the community. Each year, the club awards $6,000 in scholarships to graduating Springfield High School seniors and supports a wide range of community projects and organizations. Over the years, the Penny Sale has enabled the Rotary Club to give more than $600,000 back to the Springfield community.
