Prom clothes available at Thrift Shop

High school proms are just around the corner and the Thrift Shop at the Chester-Andover Family Center has both prom dresses and tuxedos in stock. While prom dresses are in stock, donations of more are welcomed, as are donations of children’s clothes. All clothing needs to be clean and in good condition.

Also, be sure to check out the quality spring and summer clothing, including designer labels, and shoes and accessories.

The shop also has a great selection of bedding, curtains/drapes and other linens.

The Food Shelf is sporting a new freezer and refrigerator with glass doors for easy access, thanks to grants from the Vermont Food Bank, the Fanny Holt Ames and Edna Louise Holt Fund and generous donations from local organizations and individuals. Donations of eggs, bread, fresh fruit and vegetables are becoming a regular occurrence and are very much appreciated.. The number of recipients continues to increase and, therefore, donations of food and cash are warmly accepted.

Thrift Shop hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays; 1 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. Food Shelf hours are 1 to 6 p.m. Thursdays. The Family Center is located at 908 VT Route 103 S. (P. O. Box 302), Chester, VT 05143. To reach it by phone, dial (802) 875-3236.
