To the editor: Hoser presents himself, his views with honesty
The Chester Telegraph | Oct 16, 2026 | Comments 2
During the height of campaign season, signs are one of the best ways for a candidate to get their name in front of their community. So as you drive through Chester, Windsor, Grafton or Athens, it’s a surprise to see only blue signs.
One might think, there must only be Democrats running for the House seat in my county. At a closer look, you can see the words “Re-elect” in front of Republican candidate, Tom Charlton, on his very blue sign.
It’s a simple thing to choose a color, but it makes a powerful statement. Of course no party
“owns” a color, nor are there hard rules to follow when creating campaign material. But
representing who you are and what you stand for is important.
Maybe it wasn’t intentional, but I find it hard to believe that there wasn’t some thought behind that choice. As a graphic designer and communication professional, I believe those details do show exactly who a candidate is, and how picking a color traditionally associated with a Democrat is used, at best, to confuse voters, at worst, deceive them.
What is refreshing about Will Hoser, is that there is no deception in him – as a person or a
candidate. Will is who he presents himself as: enthusiastic, empathetic, compassionate and
transparent. His campaign material tells you exactly where he stands on important issues all
Vermonters are facing.
Will is clear on his stance on several issues that support each and every member of this community including yes votes on Prop 3 and 4, which would make it a constitutional right to unionize and prohibit the denial of rights based on race, sex, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression or national origin.
His platform of universal primary healthcare is one he is uniquely qualified for as an experienced physician assistant for over 30 years. Will understands the importance of education but not at the
expense of the average taxpayer. He believes in an income-based system that will ease property taxes and lessen the burden on low and middle class families.
Will understands the complexity of affordable housing and sustainable growth. His vision is to stop private equity firms from scooping up our housing; find quicker ways to build downtown centers; and increase availability of starter homes for first time homeowners.
Additionally, he wants to help communities build more housing for seniors so they can downsize without leaving the towns they call home. And as a former dairy farmer and a long time rural Vermont resident, Will can truly speak on behalf of rural voters to ensure our voices are not drowned out by urban area residents and issues.
Will Hoser is steeped in the community and brings honesty, clarity and fairness to the table.
We deserve someone who doesn’t just sound like a nice guy that wants to do good things for
the community; or one that needs to misrepresent who he really is. Our community needs
representation that is authentic, transparent, and interested in standing for all. Please join
me in voting for Hoser for the House!

Keith – Get a hobby or volunteer somewhere. You are the biggest troll on the Chester Telegraph. I’m sure there’s a more productive way to spend your time, for sure. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER.
Just wondering, is admitting that democrat passed legislation is the biggest reason Vermonters are in such economic struggles and the only way to fix it is to reverse direction? Or is pushing more of the failed agenda his goal?
