To the editor: Thanks to all for a great Fall Festival in Chester

Everyone in the community helped make the 39th Fall Festival a great success!

Sunny, warm weather with lots of blue sky allowed the crowd to enjoy the fine crafts displayed on the Green, to watch craftspeople demonstrating their skills, including an opportunity to try out Susan Leader’s potting wheel, and to sample a variety of delicious foods.

The weekend kicked off the fall foliage season and the Green was a fun destination for locals and visitors alike.
The Chester Rotary thanks all the vendors for their participation; our sponsors (Country Treasures, Skygate Financial, Lisai’s Market, Mitch’s Maple, Fullerton Inn and Restaurant, MacLaomainn’s Pub, Drew’s All Natural, The Chester Bookworm and Lawrence & Wheeler) for their financial support; Bill Cole for extra security; and friends of Rotary who supplemented the many Rotarian soups (Austin’s Antiques, Country Girl Diner, the Fullerton Inn, Fran Cheslock, Gail Stewart, The Inn Victoria, The Killarney and the Stone Hearth Inn & Tavern).

Thanks also to the Chester Police Department for their cooperation and help in making the Green a safe place for everyone during the festival.  Finally, the Interact students from Green Mountain Union High School were the best partners one could ask for.  They made soups and worked extremely hard all weekend doing a wide variety of jobs and pitching in to help whenever and wherever needed.
Planning for next year’s Fall Festival will begin shortly so let us know if you want to help with this community event.
