Family of ill 20-year-old Jamaica man raising money for medical trips

Jamaica

Since birth, 20-year-old Cody Morin of Jamaica, Vt., has been living with a dysfunctional liver. To support the costly trips to Dartmouth and Boston for medical care, his family is raising money.

Morin’s condition requires a liver transplant and, until then, his condition can only be helped with operations that provide temporary relief for his symptoms. One year, he had to undergo 13 surgeries. However, his health is not yet worsened enough to be eligible for a transplant.

“Cody hopes to be a police officer once he is all better and receives his transplant. Cody is great guy who doesn’t deserve this,” says his sister, Michelle.

Donations will be used to help his mother pay for the cost of fuel and lodging during his hospital stays. Interested parties can make a donation to the Cody Morin Fund at any People’s Bank, or send a check to: 62 Williams St. Ext., Apt. 101, Bellows Falls, VT 05101.
