Ottauquechee District honored for River Roadshow program

Ottauquechee Natural Resources Conservation District received the Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence at State House on Tuesday, June 30.  The award was given for ONRCD’s River Roadshow, a moble education program that uses a stream table to demonstrate how rivers behave during flood events. The program is in its fourth year, has reached more than 8,000 people at public events and spent more than 300 days in schools for their river studies program.
