UPDATED: Newfane teen missing, police ask for assistance

UPDATED: Nov. 3, 10 a.m. State police have announced that Donavan Hamilton has been found safe. Police would like to thank the public for their tips which were instrumental in finding the youth.

The Vermont State Police are asking for help in locating a teenager missing from his Newfane home.

Police say that yesterday morning 14-year-old Donavan Hamilton ran away from his home on South Wardsboro Road in Newfane.  Donavan was last seen wearing a green sweatshirt with the word “Salisbury”on it, blue jeans and black sneakers.

Donavan has blonde hair and blue/green eyes. He is  5-feet 1-inch tall and weighs 116 pounds.  Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is encouraged to call the Vermont State Police at (802) 254-2382.
