Pike Industries, which has been upgrading the roads in Chester since the end of July, announced Friday that it has paved VT 103, Depot Street and the Green including the parking area along VT 11 this week.

“Today and tomorrow (Saturday) Pike will be paving VT 11 and plans to finish VT 11 and intersecting side roads by the middle of next week,” the company announced in an email.

“United Paving will start paving driveway aprons toward the beginning of next week and continue throughout the week. Ryebrook finished constructing concrete sidewalk ramps on VT 11 and VT 103. Ryebrook also removed existing concrete curb at the intersection of VT 103 and VT 11, and widened the intersection with new vertical granite curb.”

Expect up to 10-minute delays when stopped within the work zone as work will continue from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and Saturdays if needed.
