Chester-Andover Family Center raffles rug, preps for winter; FOLA in rehearsal for Follies

The Chester-Andover Family Center Thrift Shop if raffling off a handmade wool rag rug created by volunteer Edie Brown of Chester.  The rug is 36 inches in diameter and is on display at the shop.  Tickets are $1 each or five for $6 six for $5.

Proceeds will go toward funds to help keep people warm this winter. If you have items to donate, drop them off at the center during Thrift Shop hours.

Please note that Thrift Shop hours on Wednesdays have changed; the shop will be closing a hour earlier at 6 p.m. during the winter.
Thrift Shop hours are:  10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays; 1 to 6 p.m. Wednesdays,  and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. Food Shelf hours are 1  to 6 p.m. Thursdays and 11:30 a.m. to 1  p.m. Fridays for produce pickup.  The center is located at 908 VT Route 103 South.  FOLA kicks-off rehearsals for 2016 Follies

Friends of Ludlow Auditorium launched the first rehearsal of its FOLA Follies: Comedy Tonight recently at the Ludlow Town Hall Auditorium.  The initial rehearsal set up the numbers to be included in the show and who would be singing them.  Tesha Buss will be directing  while Kasia Karazim will provide the music.

The next rehearsal will be on Tuesday evening, Dec. 1 at the auditorium.  There are still several openings for interested people.

The FOLA Follies: Comedy Tonight will be performed at the auditorium on Saturday, Feb. 27. For information call 802-228-7239.
