Exchange program seeks host families

PAX ExchangeThe Program of Academic Exchange – PAX – is searching for families in local school areas to open their homes to exchange students. The program works with more than 70 countries and works with a local community coordinator for support and supervision for both host family and student during their entire stay.

Students are 15 to 18 years old and are rigorously screened for maturity, strong academics and the ability to speak and understand the language. All students come with their own spending money and health insurance.

Host families can be single parents, families with young children and/or teenagers, empty nesters or retirees. The host family’s primary responsibility is to provide a bed — it need not be their own room — three meals a day and the love and support given to any teenager in your home.
