Wilcox Ice Cream of Manchester and Green Mountain Power are partnering to produce a new flavor of Wilcox ice-cream – eHome Sweet Home.

“Wilcox Ice Cream is known for being innovative, just like Green Mountain Power, and so we created a fabulous new flavor with fudge and chocolate truffles – real comfort food – to celebrate the comfort that GMP is creating for its customers with its eHome program,” said Wilcox Vice President Christina Wilcox.

Wilcox Ice Cream is a family-operated business that has made premium ice cream for 88 years with Vermont milk and cream. Wilcox is opening a new location in Sunderland, across the street from GMP’s Sunderland district office.

Mary Powell, president and CEO of Green Mountain Power. “Our eHome program has helped our customers save money and be more comfortable in their homes, so we thought this would be a sweet way to celebrate.”

GMP’s eHome program is a holistic energy home renovation program to help customers save money and increase comfort in cold and warm months. It can include weatherization, air source cooling and heating pumps, heat pump water heaters, solar, LED lighting and technology to track and control usage. It also includes innovative home automation controls to see energy use in real time and allow for control of thermostats, outlets, lights and heat pumps.

The ice cream will be sold at stores across Vermont and will be available starting today.
