Six area students have been named to the Dean’s List of the University of Vermont for the spring 2016 semester. To be named to the list, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.

Willoughby Bourne of Saxtons River is a Community Entrepreneurship major in the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences

Emily Comstock of Chester is a business administration major in the Grossman School of Business.

Emily Guerra of Chester is an exercise and movement sciences major in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

Allyssa McCutcheon of Chester is a biological science major in the College of Arts and Sciences.

Rachel Peloquin of Weston is an elementary education, K-6 major in the College of Education and Social Services.

August Slater-Dixon of Grafton is a history major in the College of Arts and Sciences.


Jennifer Chambers of Baltimore graduated from the University of New Hampshire during the Commencement Ceremony held Saturday, May 21, 2016, on the Durham, N.H. campus. She earned a Master of Social Work degree in Social Work.


Alecia Rokes of Chester was named to the Dean’s List at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Penn.,  for the spring 2016 semester. Dean’s List status is awarded to students who earned a scholastic average of 3.6 or better while carrying at least 12 hours of regularly graded courses.
