UPDATE: Maine woman reported missing from Gathering

UPDATE: Vermont State Police are advising that Erica G. Lavoie was found safe just before 4 p.m. at the Rainbow Family Gathering site in Mt. Tabor by U.S. Forest Service personnel. The VSP thanks everyone for their help in this matter.

Erica G. Lavoie of Maine was reported missing from the Rainbow Gathering at Mt. Tabor.

Troopers from the Rutland barracks of the Vermont State Police received a missing persons complaint at about 2:30 a.m. today from an acquaintance of Erica G. Lavoie, 28 of Scarborough, Me.

The complainant spoke with Lavoie by phone late in the evening on Monday, July 4, 2016 and based on this conversation the complainant became concerned for her welfare. Lavoie is due to return to Scarborough today, July 6,  but the complainant has not been able to reach her. The VSP press release listed the Rainbow Family Gathering at Mt. Tabor as the location for the complaint.

Lavoie is a white female, about 5 feet 5 inches tall, 145 pounds with black, shoulder length hair and brown eyes. Lavoie has tattoos on her hands, arms and shoulders. She may be traveling with friends or by bus. Anyone with information on Lavoie’s location or welfare is asked to contact the Vermont State Police-Rutland Barracks at 802-773-9101.
