Under warm skies, Londonderry celebrates 4th of July with annual parade

- The crowd starts applauding as the color guard crests the horizon, signaling the start of the parade.
- Vintage cards ride through.
- How many other animals can trot through a group and leave everyone smiling?
- What kind of parade doesn’t have at least one bagpiper? The Taconic Pipe Band were there.
- The Southshire Roller Derby rolled their way down the street.
- The Merry Pranksters used a pirate theme to contribute to the festivities.
- Tractors and sail boats. What more do you need?
- J.J. Hapgood showed off its vintage Volkwagen.
- The spectators were happy to see and hear the Grafton Cornet Band make its annual appearance.
- Cloggers were well represented this year, this group being the first of two.
- A school mascot’s job is to be cute and bring smiles and pep. This one did not fail.
- An exception was made to the rule not to stick your arms out of the bus windows.
- The second group of cloggers was received by a very appreciative audience.
- Local business uses its product to create an interesting visual.
- As emergency vehicles signaled the end of the parade, one child enjoys a treat toss by a parade participant.
