For the eighth year, the Champion No. 5 Fire Company of South Londonderry will present its Haunted Firehouse on the second floor of the fire station at 60 Main St. on Halloween,  Monday, Oct. 31.

In conjunction with the event, the First Baptist Church of South Londonderry is sponsoring trunk-or-treating  next to the fire station. The firehouse will open at 4:30 p.m. on Halloween night with free food and drinks, while they last. Kids of all ages can to tour the fire station, walk through the haunted firehouse and gather around the campfire.

Those who live on a rural road that doesn’t get much trick or treat traffic, can park their cars next to the firehouse and set up at 4 to hand out treats starting at 4:30 p.m. Dressing up and decorating trunks is fun but not mandatory. Donations of candy for the event can be dropped off at the Londonderry Town Office (The Twitchell Building) Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday from 8:30  a.m. to 2:30 p.m. or Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Main Street will be closed during the event, but people can park either at the library and Town Office Building or at First Baptist Church’s parking lot. This event is free of charge.  For questions, contact Chris Blackey at 802-856-7266.
