CAFC bake sales net $1,000; Dems hold home heat fund-raiser

The Chester-Andover Family Center Annual Election Day Bake Sale raised enough money to put its collective take after three bake sales at more than $1,000.

The sale began with three tables full of baked goods prepared by center volunteers and ended with a few items that were then given to Green Mountain Union High students for their sale in the afternoon.

Those funds will help keep Chester and Andover families warm this winter by providing heating fuel assistance.

The Democratic committees of Andover and Chester are holding the Annual Share Heat Fund Raiser on at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5 at Baba-a-Louis on Route 11 West in Chester. They will be raising funds for the benefit of the Chester Andover Family Center and the winter heating fund.

Thrift Shop hours are: Tuesday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesday noon to 6;  Friday, 10  a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Food Shelf hours for produce pickup are 1 to 6 p.m. every Thursday and 10 a.m. to noon on Fridays.
