The workshop is an opportunity for the public to give input, suggestions, comments and ideas on how to strengthen and improve the long-term vibrancy within the village. The workshop will be conducted by consultants SE Group and is organized around two parts.

First will be a  presentation of the “baseline” conditions assessment highlighting what has been learned to-date and how it might inform the long-term vision for the master plan. Participants will be able to comment and offer suggestions. It is expected that the presentation portion of the meeting will last approximately 30 to 45 minutes, plus time for questions.

The second part of the meeting will focus on exploring a vision. Using large maps of the Village and facilitated small-group discussions, participants will brainstorm ways to help improve the long-term vibrancy of the Village. After about one hour, each of the small groups will provide a “report” back to the overall meeting on the key opportunities they explored. Click here for a detailed schedule.

Kids are welcome to attend with Legos and coloring books/crayons and paper provided. Light refreshments will be available.

If you are not able to attend the event, information from the meeting will be made available online and you are welcome to provide comments at any time through the town’s website at www.chestervt.gov\rediscover.
