Chester Baptist welcomes interim pastor

The Chester Baptist Church has announced the arrival of its new interim pastor, Rev. Gerard (Rod) Birney.

Birney began his new duties on May 2, and will preach weekly on Sunday mornings at the 10:30 a.m. worship service.

Birney holds a Masters of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and has served as full-time pastor of several churches in New England, as well as interim pastor of First Baptist in Manchester Center. He and his wife Jill have two adult children.
