Nordic Harmoni and the Buzzards benefit concert for Londonderry Food Pantry

Come and join a lively afternoon of music benefiting the Londonderry Neighbors Food Pantry at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 30 at The Second Congregational Church. 2051 N. Main St. in Londonderry. Enjoy performances by Nordic Harmoni, The Buzzards, and talented soloists from the community. Bring your friends, enjoy great music and help make a difference for local families. Donations will be accepted at the door.

The Neighbors Pantry, a not-for-profit organization in Londonderry, has been serving the towns of  Londonderry, South Londonderry, Jamaica, Landgrove, Peru, Weston, Winhall and Windham since 1988. The Pantry distributes food and other supplies to any community member in need residing those towns. It is open on the first and third Friday of each month and for emergency distribution.

The Neighbors’ Pantry is an all-volunteer organization relying on contributions from community members to fund all expenses while from 2023 to 2024, the number of individual households served increased by more than 10 percent. It saw similar increases in 2025 and expect more households to seek our services given federal budget cuts that reduced funding for food banks and other programs. Inflation is pushing food costs up while significant budget cuts at the federal level earlier this year have reduced funding for state food banks and programs addressing food insecurity.

Nordic Harmoni is the only Swedish-American chorus sharing Scandinavian heritage and traditions in southern Vermont. They welcome all interested singers to join them for rehearsals at the Second Congregational Church in Londonderry where they sing both in English and Swedish.
