Green Mountain Gardeners welcomes author Page Dickey for free garden discussion

Green Mountain Gardeners will host Page Dickey, celebrated gardener, garden designer and author, for a talk at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 14.

This free program is open to the public and will be held at the Londonderry Rescue Squad building, 6068 VT Rt 100 in Londonderry.

Dickey will talk on aspects of garden design, such as creating gardens that reflect their settings and  planning gardens as extensions of our homes.

Dickey has been gardening passionately since her early 20s and, for the last three decades, has writing about gardening, as well as designing gardens. She has written eight books and edited a ninth. Dickey lectures around the country about plants and garden design, and has written many articles for magazines over the years.

Her garden at Duck Hill in North Salem, N.Y., has been featured in a variety of periodicals including The New York Times, House and Garden, Elle Décor, Vogue and Garden Design.

Dickey recently moved to Cornwall, Conn., where she and her husband are beginning a new gardening adventure.

A director emeritus of the Garden Conservancy, Dickey was recently elected an honorary member of The Garden Club of America. She also serves on the boards of several historic gardens in Connecticut and New York. Click here for more about Dickey.
