Tour New Zealand with a slideshow at St. Luke’s

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Chester if offering you a chance to visit New Zealand vicariously — at no cost, locally and deliciously.
From 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13,Willard Hall in St. Luke’s Church, 313 Main St. in Chester, will host David Carey and his slide-show visit to the South Island. Carey was smitten by the island, which he claims is “one of the most exciting places to visit.”
He touts its many features that include snow-capped mountains with glaciers running almost into the sea; large areas of untamed, unspoiled wilderness; beaches that stretch far into the distance and two very different cultures living side by side in an area the size of Illinois with a population of just 1.25 million – about the same as the population of San Diego.
No reservation is necessary for this free program, which is open to the public. Coffee, tea and baked goods will be offered. For more information on other interesting events, click here.
