New EV chargers at West River Coffee Barn

West River Coffee Barn, located at 2309 N. Main St. in Londonderry, has installed a new dual-port Level 2 electric vehicle charger in its parking lot.

The project was fully funded by a Workplace EV Charging grant from Charge Vermont, with support from Green Mountain Power. The new ChargePoint CP6000 station can charge two vehicles at once.

The station roughly doubles the public charging in Londonderry, adding to the public chargers at Neighborhood Connections in the Londonderry Marketplace. For drivers passing through on their way to the mountains, to foliage viewing or to other towns, a Level 2 charger at the Coffee Barn means they can add range while they get a coffee and a bite to eat. The chargers are available 24/7.

“It is our hope that this new charging station makes it easier for people to live here, work here and visit,” said Kristin Nelson, managing co-owner. “We are pleased that anyone stopping in can plug in, grab a latte, and head back out with more range.”

“We’re grateful to Green Mountain Power and Charge Vermont. Grants like this that help small rural businesses take part in Vermont’s move to cleaner transportation,” added co-owner Karen Nelson.
