To the editor: Morrow deserves reelection to State House
The Chester Telegraph | Oct 13, 2026 | Comments 1
I would like to encourage the voters of Winhall, Weston, Andover and Londonderry to support the reelection of Chris Morrow as our Vermont state representative. Chris possesses many high quality traits that make him a unique and invaluable voice in our Vermont State House.
Chris has the capacity to openly listen respectfully to all his constituents from all points of view, but also works hard to understand the issues via his own independent research and common sense point of view, driven by a passion for justice and the long-range health, safety and welfare of everyone. Chris is a tireless, deep and creative thinker who sees the long-range impact of today’s decisions that helps guide our future in intelligent ways.
We are in desperate need of government leaders who have the insight and courage, sometimes against currently popular ideas, to help us see the long-term path toward a better future for all of us in terms of social issues, the environment, clean energy, public education and economic prosperity.
Chris sees himself as a public servant and is not motivated by ego or economic gain. He is not swayed or intimidated by special interests, lobbyists or cynical naysayers. He is an honorable man, husband and father who understands there is much work to do to not only bring greater comfort to Vermonter’s lives but to make hard decisions to protect the planet for future generations.
Chris has done a great job of keeping our district informed of current events in the Statehouse and has not been afraid to express his opinion on the issues and will tell anyone why. This is a rare trait that will prove invaluable in Vermont in the future.
I personally believe, with a little more experience in the Statehouse, that Chris will someday be an outstanding Vermont governor. He is that good and the type of person who would make wise and honorable decisions for us in the future.
Let’s all give Chris that chance while continuing to do a great job as our state representative.
Sincerely,
Keith Dewey
Weston

I wonder if he is willing to admit that Vermont’s very serious issues are caused by the democrat controlled legislature and that going back and reversing some of the legislation that has caused Vermont’s failings is necessary.
Only 23% of adults polled by Vermont Public say they would recommend staying in the state to 18 year olds. The status quo won’t fix this, serious work needs to be done and only candidates who talk about it should be elected.
